Les habitants principaux du Continent Sud étaient les Matoran. Bon nombre de ces Matoran n'étaient pas originaires du Continent Sud, mais y furent envoyés depuis {{p|Karzahni|Lieu}}. Ces Matoran avaient été « réparés » par {{p|Karzahni|Être}}, les rendant plus faibles que la moyenne. Plusieurs de ces Matoran reprirent leur forme d'origine grâce au [[Mutagène | Les habitants principaux du Continent Sud étaient les Matoran.
