The Great Beings' plan was that two giant robots needed to put the planet back together. Why didn't they bother to reconstruct the prototype--or even build yet another robot--to ensure that this would be successful? Did they just stop caring? In other words, why did they leave only one functional robot when they knew they needed two?

We don't know why they never finished the second robot -- or IF they never finished it. We simply know that Mata Nui, realizing he needed one, made us of what was there, which was the prototype. Remember, very little of this plan worked out the way the GBs had planned it. For all we know, the second robot exists somewhere and Mata Nui simply did not know that.

Le plan des Grands Êtres était que deux robots géants étaient nécessaires pour réassembler la planète. Pourquoi ne se sont-ils pas embêtés à reconstruire le prototype - ou même construire un autre robot - pour s'assurer du succès de la mission ? Est-ce que ça a juste cessé d'être important pour eux ? Dit autrement, pourquoi n'ont-ils laissé qu'un seul robot fonctionnel en sachant qu'il en fallait deux ?

On ne sait pas pourquoi ils n'ont jamais fini le second robot - ou SI ils ne l'ont pas fini. On sait simplement que Mata Nui, se rendant compte qu'il lui en fallait un, a utilisé ce qu'il y avait, qui se trouvait être le prototype. Il faut se rappeler que très peu de choses se sont passées comme l'avaient prévu les GE. Pour ce qu'on en sait, le second robot existe quelque part et Mata Nui l'ignorait simplement.
