Why would the Great Beings give the Matoran Universe inhabitants organic parts?

Well, they had tried making all organic life, and that didn't work out all that well, so next they tried bio-mechanical. Building robots wasn't any challenge for them, they wanted to create a new form of life.

Et bien, ils avaient tenté de créer de la vie totalement organique, et ça n'avait pas bien fonctionné, donc après ils ont tenté de la vie biomécanique. Construire des robots n'était pas un défi pour eux, ils voulaient créer une nouvelle forme de vie.
